History and origins of Marble Mountain.

I believe that by learning about the origins of a place, tourism can be more enjoyable.

So here I would like to briefly introduce the history of Marble Mountain.

Marble Mountain and Journey to the West.

Marble Mountain is an important place in the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.

In the story, Marble Mountain appears as the place where Sun Wukong is punished. Sun Wukong was originally a Sacred Monkey of the Heavenly Palace and was very powerful, but he caused problems in the Heavenly Palace and was sealed in Marble Mountain.

He spent 500 years there, but later accompanied a monk named Tang Sanzang on his travels, and so the adventure began.

So it was also an important starting point for Sun Wukong’s release from the seal and his adventure with his friends.

Cautionary points of the Marble Mountain

Many of the roads in Marble Mountain are paved for easy sightseeing.

However, some areas are unpaved, and even those who are not anxious about their legs and feet may hesitate to go further. In fact, I gave up going further in the area pictured above.

In addition, depending on the time of year, you will be walking in the intense heat of nearly 40 degrees Celsius.

The environment is conducive enough to heat stroke, so we recommend bringing water and a hat.

Time required for Marble Mountain

Sightseeing at Marble Mountain can be done in one hour if you hurry, or in about two hours if you take your time.

There is nothing special to see at Am Phu Cave, which requires a fee. If you do not have time, you may skip this area.

Marble Mountain Summary

Marble Mountain is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Da Nang.

To be honest, I personally did not have such high expectations, but the beauty of the Huyen khong Cave was very amazing.

It is worth visiting just for Huyen khong Cave.

It takes only 30 minutes one way by Grab from Da Nang city, so we encourage everyone to visit.
