Its beauty is breathtaking! Personally, it was the best place I visited in Hue. It is a must-see place when you visit Hue. If you go to central Vietnam, I highly recommend you to visit.
How to get to the Khai Dinh Tomb
The Khai Dinh Tomb is located about 10 km south of the center of Hue.
To get there, you can either sign up for a tour that includes other temples in the area, or use Grab.
I took a Grab to the site. The cost was 167,000 VND (about 6.5 USD) one way.
Admission to the Khai Dinh Tomb
Admission to the Cai Dinh Imperial Mausoleum was VND150,000 (about 6 USD) per person.
As of June 2023, when I visited there, tickets were not available for credit card payment.
Duration of visit to the Khai Dinh Tomb
The site of the Khai Dinh Tomb is not that large and can be visited in 30 minutes.
The Minh Mang and Tuduc Imperial Mausoleums, which you will probably visit during your sightseeing in the area, are quite large and take more than an hour to visit.
The beauty of the Khai Dinh Tomb is the beauty of the mausoleum area. Just because you can see it quickly does not mean it is inferior to others, so be sure to visit it when touring the imperial mausoleum!
